Hardin-Jefferson iSD is currently seeking motivated, dependable, and responsible candidates to work asBus Driver.  Experience is a plus but not necessary, as training and certification will be provdied as long as tests are passed.  Candidate will have 6 months from the date of hire to pass all tests required by the State of Texas to receive a CDL.  Pay is DOE.  HJISD offers insurance, retirement benefits and competitive pay.

Primary Purpose:

Ensure safe and orderly transportation of students on assigned route. Operate school bus that transports students and other authorized personnel to and from schools or other designated location.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

High School Diploma

Valid Texas commercial driver’s license (Class B)

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Must be 18 years of age

Ability to pass alcohol and drug test

Ability to complete required bus driver safety training

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Ability to communicate effectively

Knowledge of student discipline procedure

Ability to manage student behavior

Ability to operate bus
